Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28th in 1967. She comes from the fourth Roberts family that lived in Atlanta. It began with her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts who was an agriculturalist. Her father's passion for theatre was inherited by her. in the theatre at a young age. While a student at Emory University he appeared in various productions both on and off the campus. While stationed in Biloxi Mississippi, he received his induction into the Air Force in the year 1953. Betty Lou Bredemus was in that production as well. They got married in 2005, and had their first child, Eric Anthony in 1956. Walter was a student at Tulane University New Orleans Louisiana after he left the Airforce in 1957. Walter was employed to work for Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio to be a part of the production team for the television show Bum Bum His Buddies in Decatur Georgia. Walter and Betty Lou produced a Saturday matinee local TV show for children called Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964, a project they self-financed. In 1964 Walter and Betty Lou founded The Actors and Writers Workshop. It lasted for 6 years. In the meantime, they were blessed with two additional youngsters Lelisa (called Lisa) Billingsley in the year 1965 in 1965 and Julia (called Julie) in 1967.
